Full of Nothing

We're all sick here.

Well, I think Beowulf might have had his part of the cold a few days earlier, so he seems to generally be doing well aside from being a little more clingy than usual and also having a runny nose.

Luke woke up with a fever this morning after feeling nasty last night, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. I guess I'm an optimist...Luke often will say if he gets a slight sore throat or sneezes that he's getting sick. Generally he doesn't, but he's still been right enough times that I don't know how to tell the beginnings of a cold for him anymore!

I had a slight sore throat last night, and it stayed with me most of today. Right now it doesn't hurt, but my head is congested and heavy. It feels like it's full of nothing.

So I think I'll go read my biography on Hudson Taylor and put something worth while into it.

(Speaking of Hudson Taylor - what a good reminder of what it means to take up your cross and follow Christ! No matter the cost, he pursued his call to minister to the Chinese with such joy, such vigor and strength, despite often getting sick, dealing with problems amongst the other missionaries, and losing 3 of his six children. I have so much to be grateful for, despite feeling nasty and wishing it would go away - there's a reason for this, and if Hudson Taylor can endure and persevere through much worse I should at least get through this with cheerfulness!)
